This is my 2008 Alabama State Egg.  The 2008 White House Easter Egg display was painted by individual egg artists from all 50 states.  The eggs were unveiled at a ceremony on March 10, 2008, and will be eventually moved to the George W. Bush Library.  Thirty-eight of the 50 who artists created the state eggs attended the ceremony that took place at the White House Visitor's Center.  First Lady Laura Bush presided over the event.  A tour of the White House and a luncheon hosted by the American Egg Board followed.   I'll certainly remember this day forever!!
